Rubberized Pavement Grant Program

Purpose:
The purpose of the grant is to promote markets for Rubberized Asphalt Concrete (RAC) products with crumb rubber derived from only California-generated waste tires to resurface roads using RAC Hot-Mix or Chip Seal applications. The program is designed to encourage first-time or limited users of rubberized pavement. Resurfacing a parking lot is not eligible under the Grant Program.
Description:
An application may include rubberized pavement (hot-mix and chip seal) projects for roadways, Class 1 bikeways [as defined in Streets and Highways Code section 890.4(a)], greenways, and disability access at parks.
