Social Work Education Capacity Expansion (SWECE) Grant Program 2024

Purpose:
The purpose of this program is to enter into grant agreement(s) with educational institutions to develop new Bachelor of Art in Social Work (BASW) and/or Master of Social Work (MSW) programs as well as serve to expand MSW programs.
Description:
This grant opportunity will result in grant agreement(s) with educational institutions to expand existing Master of Social Work (MSW) programs to educate and prepare additional MSW students who will provide clinical behavioral health services to children and youth through age 25. These activities would include the capacity to:
• Work on multidisciplinary teams
• Work with underserved groups
• Reflect SWECE guiding principles in coursework and field placements
Eligibility Requirements
Eligible Applicants:
- Public Agency
Educational institutions to expand existing Master of Social Work (MSW) programs to educate and prepare
additional MSW students who will provide clinical behavioral health services to children and youth through age 25.
Eligible Geographies:
Programs must be located in the state of California.
