Purpose:

The purpose of ReCoverCA Housing Counseling is for non-profit, HUD-Certified Housing Counseling organizations to provide guidance, advice, and other technical assistance to applicants of the HCD ReCoverCA housing programs. This is in line with HCD's intent to provide a broad array of housing counseling related services to vulnerable Applicants.

Description:

Eligible Applicants include applicants of the HCD ReCoverCA housing program(s) from the 2017 DR-4344 and DR-4353 disaster impacted counties of Butte, Lake, Los Angeles, Mendocino, Napa, Nevada, Orange, Sonoma, Ventura, San Diego, Santa Barbara, and Yuba, also, from the 2018 DR-4382 and DR-4407 disaster impacted counties of Butte, Lake, Los Angeles, Shasta, and Ventura.

Applicants may submit Applications to perform the following service activities:

1. Housing Counseling Case Management2. Homeownership Counseling3. Homebuyer Counseling4. Financial Counseling5. Other services as described in Section 3.3 of NOFA 

Eligibility Requirements

Eligible Applicants:

  • Nonprofit

Non-profit, HUD-certified housing counseling organizations.

Eligible Geographies:

Applicants must be from eligible disaster-impacted counties as identified in DR-4344, DR-4353, DR-4382, and DR-4407.
