Purpose:

The goal of this grant is to increase access for young children birth to five years old to inclusive early learning and care programs. It supports the inclusion of children with disabilities and exceptional needs, including children with severe disabilities, in early learning and care settings pursuant to Parts B and C of the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.

Matching Funding Requirement:

Local Educational Agencies and any consortium providers are required to contribute a 33 percent match, in-kind, cash, or a combination of both, to receive funding. An in-kind contribution is anything offered by the LEA that would normally be paid for and is an allowable expense, such as staff time, materials, services, space, etc.
