Healthy Soils Program (HSP) – Demonstration Projects
Details
Purpose:
The HSP Demonstration Projects aim to improve soil health, sequester carbon and reduce atmospheric greenhouse gases (GHGs) funding on-farm demonstration projects that collect data and/or showcase conservation management practices that mitigate GHG emissions and increase soil health, and creating a platform promoting widespread adoption of conservation management practices throughout the state.
Description:
Through a competitive grant application process, applicants may request up to $250,000 to implement and showcase healthy soils practices, and to collect on-field and laboratory data on greenhouse gas emissions.

Eligible Applicants:
- Nonprofit
- Public Agency
- Tribal Government
Eligible Geographies:
The organization must have business address within California.
