Purpose:

Provide resources for keeping boater sewage from California waterways.

Description:

The Pumpout Facility Grant Program funds the construction of pumpout and dump stations on California's waterways.

Eligibility Requirements

Eligible Applicants:

  • Tribal Government

Public and private marina owners.

Eligible Geographies:

California waterways

Matching Funding Requirement:

Grantees contribute 25 percent cash or in-kind match.

Funding is split with $420,750 for Pumpouts and $120,000 for Dump Stations.  There are an 17 Awards for Pumpouts and 4 Awards for Dump Stations.  There is no minimum for this project but the average cost of pumpout/dump station is $40,000.
