Purpose:

This NOFA will provide loans or grants to eligible HOME Applicants to develop low- and very low-income affordable rental units, and to provide loans to low-income, first-time homebuyers as a part of a subdivision development.

Description:

The 2025 HOME Project NOFA will provide funds to develop affordable rental housing for low- and very low-income households, as well as to provide first time homebuyer assistance to low income families who purchase a home in the Applicant's housing development. The maximum award amount will be $8 million for rental housing projects, and $2 million for first time homebuyer projects. The minimum award amount for all project types will be $10,000 per unit. State Recipient Applicants may apply for an administrative costs grant up to a $300,000 or ten percent (10%) of the activity award amount, whichever is lower. CHDO Applicants may apply for a CHDO operating expenses grant up to a $200,000 or ten percent (10%) of the activity award amount, whichever is lower.
