Purpose:
Support federally-recognized tribes located in California that serve populations in areas at moderate to high risk from natural disasters. Tribal governments can work independently, with other tribal governments, or with local community-based organizations (CBOs) to provide disaster preparedness information and resources to vulnerable communities.
Description:
The purpose of the Listos California Tribal Grant (LI) Program is to support federally-recognized tribes located in California that serve populations in areas at moderate to high risk from natural disasters. Tribal governments can work independently, with other tribal governments, or with local community-based organizations (CBOs) to provide disaster preparedness information and resources to vulnerable communities. This work is intended to increase their communities’ disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation capabilities.
