Purpose:

The California Energy Commission’s (CEC’s) Clean Transportation Program  is seeking a block grant Recipient to design and implement up to $50 million in grant funds for various medium- and heavy-duty (MD/HD) zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) refueling infrastructure incentive projects throughout California.

Description:

This is a competitive block grant solicitation. The California Energy Commission’s (CEC’s) Clean Transportation Program (formerly known as the Alternative and Renewable Fuel and Vehicle Technology Program) is seeking a block grant Recipient to design and implement up to $50 million in grant funds for various medium- and heavy-duty (MD/HD) zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) refueling infrastructure incentive projects throughout California.

Assembly Bill (AB) 118 (Nùñez, Chapter 750, Statutes of 2007), created the Clean Transportation Program which authorizes the CEC to develop and deploy alternative and renewable fuels and advanced transportation technologies. AB 8 (Perea, Chapter 401, Statues of 2013) re-authorized the Clean Transportation Program through January 1, 2024.
